About Deejay Technique

Perfecting his craft for over more than 2 decades, Technique has gained notoriety as one of the most versatile DJ/Turntablists coming out of Hawai’i.  His versatility has earned him residencies respectively in the Mainstream Club, Underground Hip-Hop & EDM scenes performing at almost every nightspot in Hawai'i and has taken his talent to the states & abroad.  He has opened up & spun alongside world-class artists such as DJ Qbert, DJ Craze, Rakaa Iriscience (Dilated Peoples), Talib Kweli & DJ Hi-Tek, Mos Def, Jeru The Damaja, Hieroglyphics/Souls Of Mischief, Xzibit, 112, Baby Bash, Mr. Vegas, Nick Cannon, Russ, Fifth Harmony, Dillon Francis, Diplo, Excision, Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, NGHTMRE and more.

A radio vet as well, Technique has been fortunate to have been a mixshow DJ on various radio stations in Hawai'i & the mainland.  He syndicated mixes for Arizona stations Hot 98.3 (KOHT FM Tucson) from 2008-2009 & 101.1 The Beat (KNRJ FM Scottsdale) from 2013-2015, along with features on California's Power 106 (KPWR FM Los Angeles) for Sway (MTV) & King Tech's The World Famous Wake Up Show in 2011.  Currently he is a Mixer for Hawai'i radio Stations 102.7 Da Bomb - The Friday Night Mix (CHR/Top 40) & The Super Awesome Mixshow Show (EDM), 93.1 Da Paina - Da Reggae Traffic Jam Aloha Friday Mix (Island/Reggae) & ALT 1059 - The Friday Night Fix (Alternative/Rock).

No stranger to the local DJ battle scene, he is a 3x Mai Tai Bar Hot Island DJ Spin-Off Champion (2011, 2012 & 2013) & the 2014 Bacardi Iron DJ Champion among other titles.  He also serves as studio & tour DJ for Hawai'i rap group ANGRY LOCALS who are currently released their 4th studio album.

Aside from DJing, Technique had the honor of releasing his remix service production work through the world famous New York based record label, AV8 Records (Crooklyn Clan, Fatman Scoop, Disco Fries) from 2008-2012! Some of his tracks have gotten world class support. Most notably his collab with Pickster One aka Ønami “Hit The Clurb” was featured on Diplo’s BBC Radio 1Xtra radio show Diplo And Friends and his mashup of Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” & A-Ha’s “Take On Me” was featured multiple times on Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take podcast, the #1 sports podcast in America.
