About Da Rap Nerd
Da Rap Nerd (Formerly known as Darealwordsound), Elwin G. Williams III, is a Bay Area Artist, Hip Hop Educator, Pro tools Certified Mixing and Mastering Engineer, Producer, DJ, and a full time Nerd. He is the founder of his own indie label TGYN (There Goes Ya Neighborhood) and has built his own artist brand. His most recent work "Raw Cookie Dough" is available on all platforms and has been creating a buzz for him across the music industry. He is the artist you will come to love due to his genuine authentic approach to Music, Science, and Mental Health. He is a Music Supervisor for Fam 1st Family and Richmond College prep, and works with Alameda County Juvenile Corrections as a Music Program Liaison for Today's Future Sound.
Today's Future Sound Bio
Today’s Future Sound (TFS) was founded in 2010 by producer and beatmaker Ben Durazzo. In 2012, Durazzo brought on Dr. Elliot Gann as Executive Director to build a base of Educators, DJ Instructors, and Volunteers that would broaden the scope of influence nationally and globally.
Dr. Gann received his PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the Wright Institute. Building off of both his dissertation research findings on and experience with Therapeutic Hip Hop Activity Groups, Dr. Gann is leading Today’s Future Sound to continue such work and further advocate for its use, including expanded Wellness/Mental Health, Educational, Economic and Social Justice Applications.
Today’s Future Sound (TFS) is a Fiscal Project of the Oakland Parks and Recreation Foundation, a 501C3 based in Oakland, CA.
